Vera Bradley Winter Patterns for 2009

Ok, I have finally found some pics of the Vera Bradley patterns for the winter of 2009.  These winter patterns from Vera are a little different and very unique.  The patterns are Paprika, Imperial Toile and Symphony in Hue.

Vera Bradley Paprika:

Paprika

Paprika

I kind of like Paprika and it reminds me of Frankly Scarlet a little, which I thought was always under rated and under appreciated.   There is an orange hue to the Paprika pattern and it has a nice blend of blue and turquoise colors on the interior of the bags with the pattern.  The shapes of the design are not floral, but are organized and more architectural and may be appealing to the tastes of those who like the Frankly Scarlet.

Vera Bradley Symphony in Hue:

Symphony in Hue

Symphony in Hue

The Symphony in Hue is the complete opposite and it may not be the symphony that all of us have been waiting to hear, but I think it's one of those designs that takes time to grow on you.  There is a whole lot of color there and all kinds of floral portraits and paisley patterns to dazzle the eyes.  It may be too busy for some but in person you will see it has a nice black background and a true "symphony" of colors and hues to try to bring it all together.  It's sort of like some fireworks of colors went off on the bag and it's really unlike any of the current patterns Vera Bradley has out right now.

Vera Bradley Imperial Toile:

Imperial Tote

Imperial Toile

Of course, the Imperial Toile is also a unique design from the company.  It has a rich brown background and an ivory white design over it.  The design, to me, resembles a portrait of an old Japanese village and has cream white drawings of forest leaves, flowers, and birds, with a simple structure in the background as well.  From some of the things I've read and people I have talked to, this seems to actually be one of the favorite patterns to come out in the winter of 2009 for Vera Bradley, but I want to hear from you, my readers.

These patterns will not be available in stores until October 3rd for most Vera Bradley retail stores across the nation, but that date could be bumped up a week or two in either direction.  Either way, we will have to wait a bit.

Take a moment to leave a comment on the patterns in the pictures above.

I don’t like any of them….. They all look fake and old ladyish!!

I LOVE the Imperial Toile! I love anything Asian themed and I was wondering if they would ever come out with something. I also like that it’s not so colorful too.

I think Symphony in Hue is a little garish. Way too busy for me.

Anyway, I’m definitely gonna be looking for things in Imperial Toile when it comes out!

Just an FYI – The Symphony in Hue has a sister:) It’s the same pattern as Blue Rhapsody. Vera’s got a thing about that (ie Mod Floral Blue/Mod Floral Pink and the recent Bali Gold/Bali Blue). I’m not “gotta have it” with any of the new winter patterns, but Paprika has grown on me the most. The colors kind of bleed into each other – and to me, it looks a little Boho – or hippy-ish – lining has great color (turquoise)…and I think it would look great with denim!

I love the Imperial Toile. It has this Asian prints on it and since I’m 100% Asian, I’m loving it. Also, they combined some of my favorite colors, brown and cream. I would love to get this print on a zip around wallet.

Hmmm Im not toally sure what Vera Bradley has been thinking with these patterns. I do kind of like the Imperial Toile, but it looks like the fall/winter 2009 season is going to be a rough one for them. Im a hardcore Vera fan, but these are not my favorite. These new fall and winter 09 patterns look fake and not distinguishable from all of that nasty fake “Vera” thats floating around out there. Im not sure what the problem seems to be at Vera Bradley, but Im thinking they better fix it. They really havent released any good colors since the Spring 09 colors were released (Cupcakes Pink/Green, Purple Punch, Hope Garden etc). Everything after that has been questionable on style. They look fake and not as nice as the previous Vera patterns. Needless to say my Vera Bradley spending will just have to go on break until the Spring 2010 colors are released (Ive seen most of them already and most of them are very cute and stylish…there is hope in the future Vera fans!) because I most definitley will not be wasting my money on a “real” Vera that looks like a fake one. Sorry Vera Bradley, but I have yet to speak to anyone who is really over the top about any of these recent colors. Pretty Disappointed.

I saw the toile in person at my local store and I can’t wait til it comes out – I love the less flashy color. That will be my next bag – maybe in the bowler. I have a gift certificate and I was going to run down and pick one out, but now I am waiting until Sept-Oct. for the toile.

I just got the Symphony in Hue large backpack at out brand new Vera Bradley store in Kenwood Town Centre in Kenwood, Ohio.
The store just opened up on Friday.

It is so beautiful. My husband gave it to me as a birthday gift. What I like about this pattern is it has all the colors in it and it is so different than the boring 3 and 4 color patterns.

I just started collecting Vera Bradley ! I’m not too sure bout the winter patterns, either. So far the only one I truly love was Java Blue. Just wondering, which bags have the most interior pockets?

Had a very difficult time with your format and did not find what I was looking for even though it was mentioned on the cover paige.
