Vera Bradley Hope Garden is Retiring and Being Replaced
Well this is sad sad news for any of you who love Vera Bradley's Hope Garden Pattern. My friend has a delightful Hope Garden Morgan that is just perfect, but soon we will have to say goodbye. The reason for this is that Vera Bradley only wants one pattern for breast cancer research at a time. In case you didn't know, every time you buy a Hope Garden purse you are also funding breast cancer research as well. This lovely pattern has been selling very well and many retailers are puzzled and disappointed that it is being retired so soon. I mean, Java Blue has been out for 4 years and it's still not retired yet. But many say that HG is being retired to make room for the new breast cancer pattern coming out in 2010 called "Loves Me". It's a rather ugly pattern to me and has huge purple daisies on it. You can check out the Vera Bradley 2010 patterns here.

Yellow Bird
Puccini
Raspberry Fizz
Mod Floral Pink
Mediterranean Blue
Of the above, Puccini and Yellow Bird have been the most popular so I am sure some women will put up a stink about them being discontinued. These have been some of the best patterns yet and with preview and pictures of the upcoming patterns we don't have a lot to look forward to.
So now that you know one of your favorite patterns is retiring it may be a good time to buy some of those purses and accessories you have been putting off. It seems like Hope Garden just came out and we are already seeing it go into retirement, but at least a lot of these were made at the outset and you can still pick some up for a limited time.

Vera is making a GIGANTIC mistake by retiring Hope Garden and replacing it with Loves Me. First of all, it’s WAY too soon to retire HG. It’s only been out for a year for heaven’s sake!
In addition, though, I have not heard one positive comment about this pattern. Which doesn’t bode well for sales.
The unfortunate reality is that if no one likes the pattern, then no one will purchase the products. And if no one purchases the products, then there is less $$ going to the Foundation.
Poor POOR marketing move on VB’s part.

I dislike the new pattern for breast cancer. Frankly I think it is ugly. Why on earth are you replacing Hope Garden with this pattern! Big mistake!
