A word of description:
- Blue Rhapsody has a sort of bohemian blue hue with amethyst, sapphire, and emerald tones throughout it. It's paisley and floral combination tie it all together.
- Carnaby, retains a deeper crimson and brown color and has lovely big flowers and leaves and a bright red flower to decorate the border.
- Pirouette has a classic black background and a very organized design of white and red flowers.
New Styles for the Fall as well include these below:
-Double Eye (for eye-glasses)
-Euro Wallet (very nice)
-Lanyard (for ID or Keys)
-Olivia: (roundish handbag with bow details)
-Pleated Tote (going to be HUGELY popular..in my opinion)
-Saddle Up (worn across body or over shoulder, whichever you choose)
-Stephanie (another cute handbag style)
What do you think of the Fall 2009 Patterns?
So there are the patterns. What do you think? Personally, I am not a huge fan of the Blue Rhapsody and think it almost looks like a fake knockoff of a Vera pattern that you so a lot of these days. I'm never much for knock offs so I am not exactly thrilled about the Blue Rhapsody, but I am sure there are some out there that will like it.
I think there will be a few older Vera fans who will like the Pirouette pattern, as it has a similar style to Classic Black and a few other patterns that were made years ago. It's simple, which is nice, but doesn't have a whole lot of zest.
The Carnaby pattern is one that I definitely think will be a big hit and the most popular of these 3 patterns coming out in August. I love the design and the colors, and its warm tones are reminiscent of the fall season, which is the purpose of making a fall pattern to begin with.
Leave a comment below to tell us what you think. You may hate 'em and you may love 'em, so just vent a little in the box below and be sure to vote as well.

i think everyone will be pleased with the blue rapsody. i happened to walk in my local gift swhop that carries vb when their sales reps were revealing the new patterns so i haev seenit first hand. theses pics do not do it justice, it was much more vibrant i think. I also saw it in one of the new designs and maybe that was what sold me. we’ll soon see.

Pirouette, hands down! The others are way too loud for me! I like the old look to the patterns. It’s what drew me to Vera in the first place! If these are the Fall patterns, where are the ones I keep reading about on the blog:Paprika, Symphony in Hue, Imperial Toile? Would LOVE to see those, too!

The Paprika, Symphony in Hue, and Imperial Toile are the winter patterns for 2009, and I will have some pics of those posted soon.

I totally LOVE the Blue Rhapsody! VB never has had a lot of purples mixed into anything. Purple is my favorite color! I bought the purple punch as soon as it came out last year. This Rhapsody blue/purple combo is awesome!! I think the Carnaby looks a lot like the Puccini colors, so I wouldn’t buy that since I have Puccini already. The Pirouette is ok, but not that exciting. I am totally on board with BLUE RHAPSODY!
Can’t wait to see em in person!

I instantly liked Blue Rhapsody when I saw it at my Hallmark store, but my favorite is Pirouette. I understand you feel it will be for the more older fans, but I think being in my 20’s I can attest to its youth appeal. I think the fact that it isn’t busy is what I like best. My favorite patterns to date have been the less black background patterns such as Night Owl and Pink Elephant. Carnaby is my least favorite.

If you do a search under completed items for Vera Winter 2009 you will see the new patterns. I don’t know if I like them well enough to get a large piece, but I will definately own them in the tech case!

I was in the store today and saw all three fall vera’s. the carnaby and and parouette look exactly like you see them pictured above but the blue one is soo much better looking in the store. the picture above does not do it justice. there is actually a good amount of purple in it and it doesn’t look so fake as one person mentioned above. The lady showed me the book of new colors and styles which every store should have by now. “the preview book” is what she called it. What you might not know is that in that same preview book are the previews of the WINTER 2009 patterns. so if you get to the store they are worth viewing in the book. All three winter patterns are very pretty, better than the fall patterns I think. The toile one is actually a deep chocolate with an ivory toile pattern. then there is a”sympony in hue”. this pattern has a black background with a great paisley pattern that is not so over done and the paisley pattern is done in multi colored jewel tones. then paprika is nice too but not something we have seen before. it is more of a rusty orange color with a repeating geometrical pattern that is hard to explain but the inside is turqoise! very nice if you love the orange and blue combo. in the book it said the winter bags would be available to be delivered to stores october 3rd so look for the winter patterns to be available around that time. hope this helps!

I just saw all three new fall patterns yesterday. I absolutely love the blue rhapsody. I agree with Jill. The pictures don’t do it justice. They are very vibrant colors and the emerald, purple, and blue just look gorgeous together. I did not like the carnaby at all. The pirouette is okay but it looks alot like the classic black pattern.
