Calypso Vera Bradley Pattern for the Summer of 09

Have you seen the Calypso pattern yet?  Vera Bradley has made a very elegant and stylish design with the new Calypso purses and handbags.  Check out some Vera Bradley products in this pattern.  Whether it be a new tote, purse or accessory this is a great combination of colors and decoration that will be sure to please some of the Vera fanatics out there.

Although not as busy and floral as some of the other patterns, Calypso will be sure to attract even some of those who are not yet into the whole quilted fabric idea that Vera has made famous.  It has deep navy blue colors that are subtle and will go with most outfit.

The edge design of this pattern has little white circles on a lighter blue ribbon and it accents the darker blue colors of the main fabric background very nicely.

Vera Bradley Bali Blue and Bali Gold for the Summer of 09

Vera Bradley has done it again with their new for the summer Bali Blue and Bali Gold patterns for 2009.   These new Bali patterns are based on the same design and just have different color combinations, but these colors are different from any of the other patterns so far.  I can really see these being a huge hit and they are already getting a lot of buzz.

The Bali Gold pattern purses have a nice whimsical look to them and the golden yellow hues in the background of the pattern accent the pink floral and botanical design as well.

The Bali Blue pattern has a light blue as the background and reminds me of a carolina blue color.  This pattern also has yellow in it but it is a much lighter and less vibrant yellow than the golden color of Bali Gold.

Since the design was so well done I could see many different color combinations going with this pattern, but Vera Bradley has just given us these two choices for our handbags and purses.

These patterns are hot off the press so you probably have not even seen any of these bags yet, unless of course you are reading this a few months from now.  I am going to guess that in a few months you will be seeing Bali all over the place.

Vera Bradley has also given us the Calypso pattern to celebrate the summer months of 2009, which is a Navy Blue background with a royal blue accenting the design.  A nice more elegant touch to the hot summer months ahead.

Vera Bradley Backpack and Backsacks: Great for School, Good for Anything Else

Vera Bradley backpacks are all over the place.  If you have ever driven by a college campus or even taken a stroll through a middle school lately, chances are you have seen at all kinds of Vera Bradley patterns and styles of these backpacks that girls are wearing.

These backpacks have been around for a while, but with spring approaching there are always a few more sales with these bags and I thought I would highlight a few of the bags that the company offers.

The small size backpack is great for most people and very comfortable to wear.  The dimensions are 10" x 12.5" and it is 4" deep.  So you may not be able to carry around every single book you need for school, but it's great for just the basics.

The large Vera Bradley backpack may be more suitable for some of you as it is 2 inches taller and a couple inches wider.  These bags have two side pockets and a velcro flap in front that has an ID window to make getting through the lunch line easier.

Then of course there is the lovely backsack which has that draw string enclosure.  There are 3 interior slip pockets on the backsack bags and they are great for carrying around just about anything from a change of clothes to some snacks for a trip.

But these backpacks are not just for school.  I keep seeing these bags being used as purses all the time.  You can carry a ton of stuff and secure it on your back so it's out of the way.

Vera Bradley Vintage Rose Patterns Now on Sale

Well Spring of 2009 is upon us and Vera Bradley's Vintage Rose collection is just in time to welcome us!

I saw this pattern for the first time the other day and I just knew it would be a huge hit.  Vintage Rose is a limited edition pattern so it will not be around long and we will have to get it while we can.  Not only is this a new pattern, but the style is a little different as well.

With a beautiful pink and red floral design, Vintage Rose almost looks like an impressionistic painting and is full of elegance.  It is a perfect pattern to bring in the Spring season, but remember, this is part of the Vera Bradley limited edition collection, so there will only be a select few of these bags even made.

But the colors are not the only new thing about these bags.  The fabric is totally new as well.  It is a fine, plush material that Vera calls luxurious, and luxurious it is.

And to introduce this limited edition Vintage Rose collection there are also 6 new styles to go along with it.  These styles include the names of 6 woman who I'm sure are all friends.  These are the styles available in Vintage Rose:

Vivian, Wilma, Eleanor, Edith, Millie, and Harriet.

I think the Eleanor bag will be huge!  It's a great size and has that cute buckle on the side.

I guess the scarcity of the patterns helps the bags to sell a little better, but when Vera comes out with something as nice as this, it would be nice if it stuck around for a while longer, ya know?

Spring is in the air!

Can you feel it?  With the warm weather approaching, I was thinking that it's the perfect time of year for one of Vera Bradley's limited edition patterns like Mediterranean Blue and Mediterranean White.  The white version of that pattern has seen a lot of attention as it is classy and chic!

Have You Seen the New Vera Bradley Mailbags?

Well I was at a Vera Bradley store at the mall the other day and found the greatest new style bag that Vera has put out and it's called the Mailbag.  No, you don't have to deliver snail mail to people's houses with it, and you probably won't see your mail carrier wearing one of these, but kudos to them if they try one out.

I just know these mailbags are going to be very popular.  Not only are they extremely practical for carrying all the stuff you need in real world situations, but they are also very cute and stylish.

There is a nice big flap on these Vera Bradley mailbags and a zipper in the front as well.   And the cool thing is there is another pocket under this one that would make a great second wallet if you needed one.  There is room for credit cards and cash and for storing anything else that you needed on the fly.

There are pockets everywhere with these mailbags and room for all sorts of knicknacks.   There are three pockets on the inside and this bag comes with an adjustable shoulder strap too.

The shoulder strap is great with this bag, as it is very comfortable.  Some of those purse straps can really dig in after wearing them all day, but Vera Bradley makes things practical AND comfy so no worries there.

The size of the bag is 11 in. by 11.5 in. and it is about 1.75 inches deep.  The strap as I mentioned is adjustable but you can make it as long as 50 inches if you so choose.

Lovin’ the Vera Bradley Pajamas! Keepin warm and lookin good.

Well it's winter time and who doesn't love to wear PJ's around the house?  The Vera Bradley pajamas are just perfect for winter and any other time of the year really (I am just giving you an excuse to pick up a pair this winter)  They come as shorts or pants and come in as many of your favorite Vera patterns that you can possibly think of.

They are very comfy and cozy, made of cotton and lightweight too so you won't sweat to death.  Sure they are comfy, but they can be classy too.  You will have to check out the stylish, elegant closure on these pjs.

Depending what kind of PJS you are looking for, there are also Vera Bradley pajamas that have the draw string as well as an elastic waistband.   I particularly like the mod floral pink pjs.  The only problem is, you may have to fight the urge to walk out into public in your pjs or just louge around the house all day in those comfy things.

For traveling you can also pick up a travel bag made for your pjs and this bag will match the pattern of the pjs pants or shorts you have picked out.

Vera Bradley Bible Covers and Book Covers

Have you seen the Vera Bradley Bible covers?  They have been around for some time but not everyone knows about them so I wanted to write a post about them.

Most of them that I have seen are in the Kensington or Cambridge patterns, which happen to be very complimentary to the Bible covers and I think very appropriate as well.

They are made out of the same plush and thick Vera Bradley fabric that we all are used to and provide more than adequate protection for your Bible.  If you already have a Bible cover than you can consider getting a more elegant one.

The company calls them the Good Book Covers and the standard size that they come in are 6¼" x 9¼" x 1¾", so you may need to measure your Bible to see if it will fit.  These are not for family Bibles but the average size Bible should fit in these beautiful covers.

There is a front pocket on the cover and most come with a ribbon page holder.  The carrying handle also makes it easy to carry it to church without dropping it, but it's nice having a cover in any instance to keep your Bible in good condition and to protect it from the elements, especially in the rain.

These book covers from VB are also made available and I believe are still being made today.  So if you are reading a really great book at home and just want a nice fancy cover for it, whether it is to protect it or to keep anyone from knowing what you are reading, you can fancy it up with a Vera Bradley book cover.
