Vera Bradley Blue Rhapsody Is Striking a Chord

The Vera Bradley Blue Rhapsody pattern is a pattern much like the Puccini of last fall.  Now, before you say, "What, it's not even close!  It lokos completely different!", let me say that I am not comparing the looks of the patterns as much as I am the way we respond to them.  When the Puccini pattern came out there were many out there who were repulsed by it and said they would never buy it.  Well a fwe months went buy and Puccini purses were flying off the shelves left and right.

The Blue Rhapsody pattern was dismissed by many who saw it for the first time on a website or in a store.  And let me just say that the pattern does look much better in person.  But the more we are seeing these sneak peaks of the 2009 fall patterns, the more people are turning to Blue Rhapsody as their favorite.

I started a poll to find out what fall 2009 pattern people liked the most, and at first Carnaby was the leader and Pirouette was at the bottom.  But upon last glance, Blue Rhapsody is favored above all of the others and for very good reason.  If you have not voted yet you can check out the poll here:

The Blue Rhapsody is a pattern we are not used to.  It uses color combinations and shades of blue and green that are pretty, but we were not used to seeing these colors on Vera Bradley bags.  I think the initial response was fairly negative because it was all just too new.  And this may be a hunch, but I think that's the reason Vera Bradley lets a few of these bags sell in a few test stores... to give us a chance to get used to the patterns and fall in love with them.

You can find some Vera Bradley Blue Rhapsody patterns on sale right now on ebay, even though the patterns will not be available anywhere else until August of this year.  More auctions are being added all the time so be the first to grab a Blue Rhapsody bag.  Your friends may not even know the new patterns had been revealed yet.

Vera Bradley 2009 Fall Patterns Pictures Revealed

Check out the new Vera Bradley Patterns for the Fall of 2009.  You may not even know that the fall patterns have already been chosen, but I was able to get my hands on some pictures of these patterns to show to all of my loyal blog readers.  The three patterns for this fall that Vera Bradley will have available in stores in August are....

What do you think of the Fall 2009 Patterns?

So there are the patterns.  What do you think?  Personally, I am not a huge fan of the Blue Rhapsody and think it almost looks like a fake knockoff of a Vera pattern that you so a lot of these days.  I'm never much for knock offs so I am not exactly thrilled about the Blue Rhapsody, but I am sure there are some out there that will like it.

I think there will be a few older Vera fans who will like the Pirouette pattern, as it has a similar style to Classic Black and a few other patterns that were made years ago.  It's simple, which is nice, but doesn't have a whole lot of zest.

The Carnaby pattern is one that I definitely think will be a big hit and the most popular of these 3 patterns coming out in August.  I love the design and the colors, and its warm tones are reminiscent of the fall season, which is the purpose of making a fall pattern to begin with.

The Vera Bradley Bucket Tote on Sale: Who Doesn’t Love This Bag?

The Vera Bradley bucket tote has been a fan favorite ever since it came out and it still gets a lot of buzz where ever it goes.  What I like most about this bag is that it's very useful while still being fashionable to wear around town.  I am hoping the good ole folks at Vera never retire this Bucket Tote because I would like to continue to see it with the new patterns that are always coming out.  For instance, this cute tote looks fantastic in the Bali Blue and Calypso patterns.

And as far as size goes, the Bucket Tote is not too big and not too small.  Being only 13.5" tall and 11" wide, you won't be knocking stuff over when you are at the mall, like you will with some of those huge big mama purses that are out there.  It's a handbag for any ocassion and it's one exterior zipper pocket makes it useful for carrying the belongings you need to access in a hurry.  Maybe some of you like thos new magnetic snaps on the outside pockets, but I like the old school zippers on an exterior pocket.    But there is still the magnetic snap closure to keep the handbag closed, and this is nice because you can just pull it open in a hurry and not worry about it opening on accident.  With 4 interior pockets, you will still have some extra space to organize the stuff you just have to tote around.

Now not every man will wear a tie, let alone a Vera Bradley tie,  but for those of you who are looking for some Vera Bradley men's ties, here are some listed below that are extremely rare and difficult to find.  Most retail stores will not even offer you a selection of men's ties.  Contrary to what you might be thinking, these men's ties are actually quite stylish and masculine with certain designs and patterns.  These ties can also be complimented by a matching silk square and some cufflinks to fit the occasion.

Vera Bradley Citrus Patterns: Retired but Fresh

Here is a blast from the past.  The Citrus pattern by Vera Bradley was a bit hit when it came out in January of 2006.  It was almost like the opposite of the Bermuda Blue pattern in that the colors were reversed.  Citrus handbags have a light green background and a light blue color around the trim and in the detail.  Even though this pattern was retired in July of 2007, along with Nantucket Navy, Bermuda Blue, and Hope Toile,  people are still looking for places to buy Citrus all the time.  And that's why I think this post is timed so perfectly (if I do say so myself).  With summer upon us, it's nice to reflect back on some of those discontinued patterns that made our hearts leap for joy when we saw them.

The Vera Bradley Gabby Bag Rolled Out in Style

I have seen more Vera Bradley Gabby handbags the last few weeks than any other Vera style.  First I saw it in Cupcakes Pink, and then Cupcakes Green, and even a few Purple Punch patterns were covering the newest style to come out of Fort Wayne Indiana.  The designers took a little different of an approach to this purse and I find it rather whimsical and inviting.  With Vera bag fans everywhere it has caused a real sensation, and even though you may prefer a pocket book with long adjustable straps like the hipster, the short little rolled handles provide plenty of comfort when carrying the Gabby.

The size of this handbag is 11.5" x 8.5" and there is 4 inches of room between the handle and the top of the purse.  The shape and size of the Gabby is just perfect, and when you consider that it has 2 big exterior pockets that wrap around the bag and 3 slip interior pockets with a zipper pocket too, you will soon find that it's a great all around pocket book for those short or long trips.

The Vera Bradley Zip Around Wallet on Sale

Even with all the new wallets that Vera Bradley has been coming out with like the new Sleek Wallet, the Zip Around Wallets are still a big hit.  The company does have a lot of great wallets to offer it's most avid consumers, but nothing beats the practicality and portability of the zip-around, and here is why.   This Vera Bradley wallt has 9 interior pockets and plenty of room for all of those credit and debit cards.  It's one of the easiest ways to keep everything compact and together so when it's time to grab your purse and go shopping you have everything you need.

Vera Bradley Photo Albums in Many Patterns

Vera Bradley photo albums are wonderful for keeping your pictures safe and secure, while decorating them in any Vera Bradley pattern you desire.  There are tons of patterns to choose from since the company has been designing them for so many years now.  I have found that the picture albums are made of very high quality.  The Deluxe Photo album comes with 100 acid free pages and even has a space for a caption under each picture.  Each page will hold 2 4x6 pictures so a deluxe photo album can hold up to 200 of your favorite photos and memories.

Vera Bradley Straw Sandals in Time for the Summer

Vera Bradley has made some flip flops lately that have been very cute but now they have made something absolutely delightful for the hot summer months.  Straw sandals!  These flip flips or sandals are made from straw so it will help to keep your feet cool when you are walking along the hot sandy beaches this summer.  But hey, even if you don't live near a beach you can appreciate these sandals.  I love how the patterns are traced all around the edges of the shoes and they have they cute little flower on top as well.
