Vera Bradley Lime’s Up Bowler Bag

Nobody makes a classic bowler bag like Vera Bradley, and this time we are checking out the Lime’s Up color on this timeless handbag.    Lime’s Up has been a very popular pattern with its light pastel colors and punch of floral serendipity.

We love the dimensions of this bag at 14 1/2" x 10 1/4" x 5" - 9 1/2" strap drop and it’s very easy to carry around on your shoulder all day.   Of course the rolled handles make it extra comfortable as well, which you may need as this bag is surprisingly spacious and you may want to pack it full before you leave your house.

Although this is the classic bowler bag it has been updated.  This updated style has a zip-around closure with gusseted sides. The interior has one zippered pocket and six slip-ins pockets. It also has a sturdy base.

On the front exterior the bag has two deep slip-in pockets, and the back exterior has a handy zip pocket for any of those little trinkets you like to tote about.  All of these pockets will help keep you organized with the Bowler!

Vera Bradley 2011 Fall Patterns Revealed

Well the new patterns for the fall of 2011 have been revealed and it's only a short time before you will see them on store shelves across the country. So have you seen them yet? I actually saw them over a month ago but I have not had a chance to post pictures for everyone.

There are 4 new patterns coming at us. They are Happy Snails, Safari Sunset, Mocha Rouge, and Plum Petals.

So without further ado let's check out the new fall patterns and please let us all know what you think with a comment below. Who knows? We might actually all agree on something.

So any favorites?  Any patterns you just can't stand?  I personally saved my favorite for last.  Plum Petals just seems so pretty and organic and I love the design of the flowers on it.  I can't see Happy Snails being a huge success, but who knows... I've been wrong a lot on these patterns before.

Vera Bradley 2011 Summer Patterns Sneak Peek

It's always an exciting time of year when Vera Bradley comes out with a new set of patterns and styles for us to gawk at.  It seems like the 2011 spring patterns were just unveiled, and we have already found some pictures of the newest patterns for the summer of 2011.  I have a feeling these are going to be even hotter than the spring patterns, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be in the summer.  Below you will find some pictures of the new 2011 summer Vera Bradley patterns so check them out and let us know what you think with a comment below.

The Vera Bradley Holiday Tote

Just in time for Christmas is the Vera Bradley Holiday Tote. This is a limited edition bag, though, so don't expect to see very many available after the holidays have past. My biggest complaint with the bag is really in the name. Why not just call it the Vera Bradley "Christmas Tote"? I think some have already begun calling it by that name, but holiday tote is the official name for it. Over all, it's a lovely little bag that is purely symmetric. Measure at 14" by 14" it also has a removable handle that you don't really need because of the cute little cut out made in the top of the bag.

So how do you get this holiday tote? Well as a promotion Vera Bradley is giving it away if you spend at least $100 on their products on one of their retail stores. And spending $100 is not hard to do if you buy at least 2 VB items so this should be an easy one for any VB fan out there. But if you don't want to spend the $50 bucks on the bag you can always check out the ebay auctions below to find a great deal on this limited edition tote. See the Vera Bradley 2010 Summer Patterns Here

Have you seen the new summer patterns Vera Bradley has cooking up for 2010? Well here is a sneak peak and you can even buy some of these patterns early because some of them are listed in the ebay auctions seen below. Your friends will wonder how you got these bags so early, but it can be your little secret.

So the four new Vera Bradley 2010 summer patterns are "Make Me Blush", "Night and Day", "Call Me Coral, and, "Simply Violet". Already these new patterns for the upcoming future and getting a lot of exciting buzz and Vera Bradley fans like them much more than the Vera Bradley 2010 Spring collection. In fact, I wish they would just skip to these summer patterns instead. Not only are the four new patterns fresh and pretty, but they also LOOK like Vera Bradley and not some knock offs.  The Make Me Blush is a lovely floral pattern with pastel colors and reminds me a little of Hope Garden but it is less busy and more elegant.  The pretty red flower blossoms with a hint of light green give the white background a nice contrast too.  The Vera Bradley Night and Day is a simple monochromatic pattern but even in  black and white the flower blossoms have a lot of pop.  I can tell already that Call Me Coral is going to be a big hit as it has a perfect shade of pink that is not as racey as some others but blends perfectly with the paisley design.  And the Simply Violet is perhaps too simple for my tastes, but it's a color we have not seen too much of from Vera Bradley so it's a nice addition to the collection as well.

So a few of these purses are available on Ebay right now so get these Vera Bradley 2010 summer patterns on sale while you still can, or you will have to wait for them to come out into the stores in the next 2-3 months.

Vera Bradley Curling Iron Covers Retired and New

Vera Bradley curling iron covers go way back and the company has been making them for years. Some of you may not know about them, but they are absolutely perfect for keeping the bathroom neat and tidy and it's just so very practical to have a safe place to keep that curling iron when it's not in use. How many of us have burned our arms because we forgot about that hot curling iron? Let's face it. It has happened to us all. Well perhaps it's time to invest in one of these nifty covers by Vera Bradley with either a retired pattern like Cambridge, or perhaps something a little newer like Frankly Scarlet or Bali Blue. Vera Bradley Mesa Red on Sale Here: Retired Pattern Flashback

This week's pattern flashback is Vera Bradley's infamous Mesa Red.  Even though it is a retired pattern, it is simply a classic and a wonderful design that should be a part of anyone's Vera collection.  This pattern had a two year career with VB, and that's not half bad considering some patterns are retired in a year.  Mesa Red hit the scene in July of 2006 and was retired in July of 2008.   This was actually my friend's very first pattern that came in the form of a hipster and it's still beloved today.  I have seen quite a few Mesa Red's going around recently so perhaps women have been souring Ebay or yard sales looking for this pattern, but perhaps Vera Bradley should start stitching this pattern together again.  I have always thought that the company could do nothing but benefit from bringing back a retro pattern to the delight of their fans.  It's sort of like what Nike did with Air Jordan shoes.  Whenever they did a retro model the shoes would sell out in minutes and everyone was happy (well, except for the prices of those Jordan shoes).

Vera Bradley Frill in Purple Punch, Paprika, Imperial Toile and Symphony in Hue

The new Frill patterns have been released and are supposed to be in stores already but in some places there has been a delay in the shipping process.  If you are not familiar with the Frill patterns they are the inside/out patterns of an existing one and they have a protective plastic over them for even easier cleaning.  I am actually surprised Vera Bradley has not promoted them much, but the Frill patterns are a huge hit and getting more popular all the time.  Some of the most popular are the Purple Punch Frill patterns, Paprika Frill, Imperial Toile Frill, and Symphony in Hue Frill.  Although Purple Punch or Pupu as some call it, has been around for a little while now, the other 3 are new for the winter of 2009.  Even though some hate the Paprika pattern, they find the Frill version of it much more pleasing.  Check out this picture of these four patterns in the Frill collection by Vera Bradley:

Like I said, some of these frill patterns are available in the VB stores right now, but you can get them even cheaper by getting them online.  You can check out some of the Vera Bradley Purple Punch Frill and Imperial Toile Frill purses and totes on ebay right now with the live auctions listed below.  These are limited edition bags and are not available very long, so if you see one that you like you should try to get it right away.  These patterns are rare and sell faster than you can imagine.  My personal favorite is the Purple Punch Frill but the Paprika Frill is growing on me as well.  You will see all kinds of Frill patterns in the listings below, so feel free to sort through the ones you like.

5 Vera Bradley Patterns Being Retired in January of 2010

Well the Vera Bradley patterns for 2010 have been revealed and along with those new patterns (which not many seem to like by the way) some old favorites will be retired.  I still think it's as ad decision by the company to retire such beloved patterns as these when they still sell like hot cakes, but they seem to just want to make room for the new stuff coming out.

There are five patterns that we know of so far that are going to be retired in January of 2010.  This means these 5 patterns will not be made anymore so only the inventory that is left will be available for sale in the Vera Bradley stores.  Get them while they are hot.

It's hard to believe some of these iconic patterns are going to be discontinued soon.  They are some of the most popular of the VB patterns.  With Yellow Bird and Mod Floral Pink and Caffe Latte, there will be a huge gap to fill with the new patterns that are coming out for 2010 and many have been disappointed thus far, so we will see what Vera has up her sleeve in the future months.

The Vera Bradley pleated tote is one of the new collections to come out this year from the company. It's a great design that has been getting rave reviews, so maybe it's time you got a pleated tote for yourself. It's called the pleated tote for a very good reason, and you can see the pleats in the pictures below too. The size is one of the nicest things about the bag. Just how big is it?
