Vera Bradley Symphony in Hue, Imperial Toile & Paprika on Sale

All of the 2009 winter patterns from Vera Bradley are finally out for sale.  We have been showing you pictures of these patterns for a few months now, so you can see them for yourself in person if you would like.  Although some of these patterns are not going to be on the all-time most popular list with Vera, they are definitely a tad different and perhaps will appeal to a different taste.  So far, the most popular has been the Symphony in Hue.  From a poll we have been running for a few months, this is the clear winner with Imperial Toile close behind.  The European inspired Paprika has been a dismal last place, but there are always a few loyal fans around of even the most hideous colors.  There are not many orange colors in the Vera Bradley line up, so Paprika can at the very least fill that void.

The Asian inspired Imperial Toile has a subtle dark brown background and is a pattern that I have grown to love.  I guess some of these patterns just take time, because even the cluttered and busy Symphony in Hue is becoming a pattern I wish to have on my next handbag.

So now all of the new winter 2009 patterns are out in force and ready for the Christmas shopping season.  You can either buy them in the malls or right here in the listings below.  These are ebay auctions and many of the prices are much lower than what you will find in retail VB stores.  And you will get the real deal as well so check out some of the auctions listed below:

Bringing Back the Vera Bradley Sherbet Pattern

Remember the Vera Bradley Sherbet?  It came out in January of 2004 and was retired in July of 2006, but many still love the Sherbet pattern and just wish Vera Bradley would bring it back from retirement.  In fact, I think it would be an incredibly smart move for the company to being back 3 or 4 of the most popular patterns of all time that are now retired and make that the next collection.  We all know how well those retro Jordan shoes sell when they remake them again, so why not try it with patterns that die-hard Vera Bradley fans just adore and WANT to buy.  I think they would do much better than putting out patterns women are just not liking for the 2009 winter and 2010 spring collection.

So here is a blast from the past.  You can't get the Sherbet from Vera Bradley anymore, but I wanted to showcase some of the Sherbet patterns available on Ebay right now.  There is actually quite a selection and many different styles of purses to choose from.  This pattern came out at the same time as Apple Green which is one of my favorites too.  Be sure to leave a comment below letting us know your all time favorite pattern and which one you would want to bring back.

Vera Bradley Bedding: Peacock Alley Duvet

With Vera Bradley bedding you will love having wonderful patterns and very comfortable fabric to sleep in at night.  One of the most popular Vera Bradley bedding sets is the Peacock Alley King Duvet Set.  It is very well made and you will notice the quality factor right away.  The pattern is noticeably medallion and is from the Garnet Medallion collection.  The background is garnet and has repeating patterns of gold and red medallions.  The border is also very beautiful with smaller versions of the same pattern.  These sets often come with pillow shams as well.  Everything is 100% cotton and was first retailed at almost $600, but in the auctions below you will find Vera Bradley bedding for much less.  Bid on these auctions while you have a chance and leave a comment below if you already have a VB bedding set to let us know how you like it.

Vera Bradley Canvas Collection: Durable and Beautiful

With the new Vera Bradley Canvas Collection there is a lot to love.  The canvas fabric is built VERY well and made to last, which is great because with bags like these you will want them to last for years to come.  The color is sort of a cream color and the brown trim around the edges and pockets accents it perfectly.  The syles that come in the canvas collection are Chestnut Tote, Cedar Duffel, Buckeye Bowler, Oak Messenger, Dogwood Wallet, and the Birchwood Backpack.  Each one of these new styles compliments the canvas fabric so well.  I know this is going to be a huge hit and the Canvas collection is one of the smarter choices that Vera Bradley has made.  With the 2009 Winter and 2010 Spring collections not looking to great for Vera fans the Canvas will be a much welcomed site.

The details and trim that goes around each bag is made of brown suede and feels oh so soft. Also, the canvas material is stain resistant so that's an extra nice feature for anyone who has kids... or even grown ups who are spilling stuff all the time. If we are honest we all have a little clutz in us and need a stain resistant bag to carry around.

The Cedar duffel is one of my favorites. I wish I could say you can get this at your Vera Bradley store right now, but they are only available at a few stores across the country right now.  So unless you happen to live near a big Vera Bradley retail store you a plum out of luck.  But of course you can always check out some of what we found for sale by checking out the Vera Bradley Canvas section of the store.

Vera Bradley Hope Garden is Retiring and Being Replaced

Well this is sad sad news for any of you who love Vera Bradley's Hope Garden Pattern.  My friend has a delightful Hope Garden Morgan that is just perfect, but soon we will have to say goodbye.  The reason for this is that Vera Bradley only wants one pattern for breast cancer research at a time.  In case you didn't know, every time you buy a Hope Garden purse you are also funding breast cancer research as well.  This lovely pattern has been selling very well and many retailers are puzzled and disappointed that it is being retired so soon.  I mean, Java Blue has been out for 4 years and it's still not retired yet.  But many say that HG is being retired to make room for the new breast cancer pattern coming out in 2010 called "Loves Me".  It's a rather ugly pattern to me and has huge purple daisies on it.  You can check out the Vera Bradley 2010 patterns here.

Mod Floral Pink
Mediterranean Blue

Of the above, Puccini and Yellow Bird have been the most popular so I am sure some women will put up a stink about them being discontinued.  These have been some of the best patterns yet and with preview and pictures of the upcoming patterns we don't have a lot to look forward to.

So now that you know one of your favorite patterns is retiring it may be a good time to buy some of those purses and accessories you have been putting off.  It seems like Hope Garden just came out and we are already seeing it go into retirement, but at least a lot of these were made at the outset and you can still pick some up for a limited time.

Vera Bradley 2010 Spring Patterns Pics and Reviews

The Vera Bradley 2010 Spring patterns have been revealed a little early this year and there is no doubt about it.... people either love or hate these new 2010 designs.  With comments like "What was Vera Bradley thinking?" to "I absolutely love those new styles!" it seems like  no one is riding on the fence on this one.  It seems like we barely had a chance to get used to last years patterns and we are already getting sneak peaks at 2010.

I will admit this, I do like the names of the 2010 patterns, and that should at least count for something.  So what are the names of the new patterns?  They are Totally Turq, Poppy Fields, Sittin' in a Tree, and Loves Me.  The question is... will that last pattern find anyone to really "love" it?  Who knows.  Vera Bradley has a certain way of making patterns we hate and end up growing to love, but it hardly seems the case so far.

Here are some pictures of the new patterns for 2010 and be sure to leave a comment and vote on how you feel about these new designs.  Love 'em or hate 'em, at least you can vent a lil.

These pictures are actually much better than the horrible cartoon like images that Vera Bradley has sent out.  The Totally Turq is a very pleasing color and pattern in person and the turquoise color goes great with the design.  Sittin in a Tree probably got its name from someone with very little creativity but you can see where all that greenery came from.  You can't really tell from these pictures, but there is a little bird on the Sittin in a Tree pattern and it's a lovely combo idea like Yellow Bird with a twist.  Loves me is a little too pink for some, but I know there are women who will love it's more prissy and younger generation look.  Poppy Field might seem a little busy but that pattern is really put together well and it has grown on me a little too, although I think it will be the less liked of them all.

What I love most about the Vera Bradley Euro Wallet is that it is both sleek in design and also is capable of carrying a lot too.  It doesn't look that big or take up that much space but it can hold 8 credit cards in there.

Vera Bradley Frill Pirouette ‘So Over It’ Bag

Well the results are in and women are loving the "So Over it" bag in the frill collection in the Pirouette pattern.   Even though the Pirouette was one of the least liked patterns for the new fall 2009 Vera Bradley patterns, it is one of the most loved in the Frill collection.  And the difference is that the frill collection Pirouette pattern is inside out and has a pleasant sort of plaid pattern that is elegant and simply beautiful.  I love the colors of this design and know that the "So Over It" bag is going to sell like hot cakes once it hits the stores.  A few stores already have this bag but most Vera Bradley retailers will not release this bag until later on this summer.  I will be sure to let everyone know as soon as they do hit the stores across the country, and you can stay up to date by signing up in the email box in the right column.
