Vera Bradley Carnaby Patterns on Sale Already!

The new Vera Bradley 2009 fall patterns are out and the all new Carnaby pattern is making quite a splash in the fashion world already.  Of course, we here a BuyThatPurse.com had the pictures of the patterns out before anyone else did, but we also wanted to report some pretty sweet deals on ebay right now for these bags as well.  You can buy them from Vera's website as well, but often you can get even bigger discounts on ebay and add a few auctions together to save even more money.

The Carnaby colors are wonderful for fall.  I got an email from Vera Bradley today saying the pattern is a London 60's style, but what do I know about London?!   It is supposedly named after a street in London, but I will just take their word for it.  All I know is that the Vera Bradley Carnaby is a great pattern with it's berry colors and rich floral design and I know it will be a popular pattern for a long time to come as well.  Anyway, check out some great deals going on right now for Carnaby purses and handbags.  And if you can't find what you are looking for you can always use our search box at the top right corner of this page.

The Vera Bradley Saddle Up Shoulder Bag

Saddle Up some style with the Vera Bradley Saddle Up Bag!

Have you seen the Vera Bradley "Saddle Up"  shoulder bag?  This is going to be one of the most popular Vera Bradley purses of all time.. that is my guess anyway.  As you can probably tell, I love this style handbag and think that it looks great in the new patterns of Blue Rhapsody and Carnaby for the fall of 2009.   The Saddle Up shoudler bag has a big magnetic flap enclosure to keep everything comfy cozy inside and there is a nice little Ring at the bottom of the flap as you can see in the pictures on this page.   The size of the bag is 13"x11"4"  but it can carry a ton of stuff because it has a flexible interior than can expand to hold even more.  pretty cool hah? A bag that stretches... who would have thought it.

And under that big flap are two deep pockets which you will love.  They are so practical and functional, which what I always like about these handbags.  There are also 3 slip in pockets on the interior of the bag, so you will have a blast organizing everything in there.

I also love the ruffles and detail on the front of the bag.  It's even better than the pleted Morgan purse that I love so much.  This purse comes with an adjustable strap so you can wear it cross body style if you like or just tuck it under your arm.  I think you will love the Saddle Up purse that Vera Bradley has put out.  Leave a comment below to let us know how you like it.

The Vera Bradley Symphony in Hue Patterns

Well the Symphony in Hue pattern by Vera Bradley is not due to come out until late fall of 2009 for the winter pattern collection, but it is already getting a lot of hype and got an even bigger hype at the Tony Awards this year.  The one picture  that everyone on Vera Bradley forums and blogs were talking was the Symphony in Hue Stocking.  Check out the picture below.

The name of this pattern is very fitting because it really is a symphony... a symphony of all kinds of colors and designs and can almost seem chaotic but I find it more hypnotizing than anything else.  The colors are not the only things that are in symphony though.  The patterns of paisley and floral designs overlap and intertwine and in an odd kind of way, actually blend together.

There will be other patterns made in the Christmas stocking besides the Symphony in Hue.  I believe I also saw the Blue Rhapsody in a stocking as well, so keep your eyes peeled this Christmas for them.

Vera Bradley Tall Zip Tote on Sale all the time!

I just got an email today from Vera Bradley saying that they were having a summer stimulus sale for 3 days only.  They are offering the Tall Zip Tote purses on sale for $49 and they were regularly $84.  Not a bad deal so you can check out Vera Bradley's website now if you want to check out some of those deals.

But then I did some research on Buythatpurse.com and found that there are all kinds of Tall Zip Tote purses on sale for $49 or less already and that sale will last much longer than just 3 days.  In fact, you can come to this site every day of the week and find some amazing deals and Vera Bradley bags at 40%- 60% off the full retail price.  You should never pay full retail price for these bags.

But the Tall Zip Tote is a great little handbag.  Many of the typical handbags are more horizontal but the tall zip tote stretches to the sky in both fashion and style.  I really like the look and feel of the bag and it's great for carrying around all kinds of stuff.  It's 14" high and about 12" wide, so it's not so huge that it's going to knock everything onto the floor as you walk by things.

If you are in school you will find it a great bag for your books and even your laptop.  Many are using this bag as well as the Messenger and Laptop cases for their PC's and Macs, so Vera is also hip now.   This tote has two magnetic pockets on the front and a large zippered pocket on the other side.  Also, the inside has a lot of cool surprises with a full size zipper compartment as well as some slip in pockets as well.

Vera Bradley Winter Patterns for 2009

Ok, I have finally found some pics of the Vera Bradley patterns for the winter of 2009.  These winter patterns from Vera are a little different and very unique.  The patterns are Paprika, Imperial Toile and Symphony in Hue.

Vera Bradley Paprika:

I kind of like Paprika and it reminds me of Frankly Scarlet a little, which I thought was always under rated and under appreciated.   There is an orange hue to the Paprika pattern and it has a nice blend of blue and turquoise colors on the interior of the bags with the pattern.  The shapes of the design are not floral, but are organized and more architectural and may be appealing to the tastes of those who like the Frankly Scarlet.

Vera Bradley Symphony in Hue:

The Symphony in Hue is the complete opposite and it may not be the symphony that all of us have been waiting to hear, but I think it's one of those designs that takes time to grow on you.  There is a whole lot of color there and all kinds of floral portraits and paisley patterns to dazzle the eyes.  It may be too busy for some but in person you will see it has a nice black background and a true "symphony" of colors and hues to try to bring it all together.  It's sort of like some fireworks of colors went off on the bag and it's really unlike any of the current patterns Vera Bradley has out right now.

Vera Bradley Imperial Toile:

Of course, the Imperial Toile is also a unique design from the company.  It has a rich brown background and an ivory white design over it.  The design, to me, resembles a portrait of an old Japanese village and has cream white drawings of forest leaves, flowers, and birds, with a simple structure in the background as well.  From some of the things I've read and people I have talked to, this seems to actually be one of the favorite patterns to come out in the winter of 2009 for Vera Bradley, but I want to hear from you, my readers.

These patterns will not be available in stores until October 3rd for most Vera Bradley retail stores across the nation, but that date could be bumped up a week or two in either direction.  Either way, we will have to wait a bit.

Vera Bradley Blue Rhapsody Is Striking a Chord

The Vera Bradley Blue Rhapsody pattern is a pattern much like the Puccini of last fall.  Now, before you say, "What, it's not even close!  It lokos completely different!", let me say that I am not comparing the looks of the patterns as much as I am the way we respond to them.  When the Puccini pattern came out there were many out there who were repulsed by it and said they would never buy it.  Well a fwe months went buy and Puccini purses were flying off the shelves left and right.

The Blue Rhapsody pattern was dismissed by many who saw it for the first time on a website or in a store.  And let me just say that the pattern does look much better in person.  But the more we are seeing these sneak peaks of the 2009 fall patterns, the more people are turning to Blue Rhapsody as their favorite.

I started a poll to find out what fall 2009 pattern people liked the most, and at first Carnaby was the leader and Pirouette was at the bottom.  But upon last glance, Blue Rhapsody is favored above all of the others and for very good reason.  If you have not voted yet you can check out the poll here:

Vera Bradley 2009 Fall Patterns Poll

The Blue Rhapsody is a pattern we are not used to.  It uses color combinations and shades of blue and green that are pretty, but we were not used to seeing these colors on Vera Bradley bags.  I think the initial response was fairly negative because it was all just too new.  And this may be a hunch, but I think that's the reason Vera Bradley lets a few of these bags sell in a few test stores... to give us a chance to get used to the patterns and fall in love with them.

You can find some Vera Bradley Blue Rhapsody patterns on sale right now on ebay, even though the patterns will not be available anywhere else until August of this year.  More auctions are being added all the time so be the first to grab a Blue Rhapsody bag.  Your friends may not even know the new patterns had been revelealed yet.

A word of description:

- Blue Rhapsody has a sort of bohemian blue hue with amethyst, sapphire,and emerald tones throughout it.  It's paisley and floral combination tie it all together.

- Carnaby, retains a deeper crimson and brown color and has lovely big flowers and leaves and a bright red flower to decorate the border.

- Pirouette has a classic black background and a very organized design of white and red flowers.

What do you think of the Fall 2009 Patterns?

So there are the patterns.  What do you think?  Personally, I am not a huge fan of the Blue Rhapsody and think it almost looks like a fake knockoff of a Vera pattern that you so a lot of these days.  I'm never much for knock offs so I am not exactly thrilled about the Blue Rhapsody, but I am sure there are some out there that will like it.

I think there will be a few older Vera fans who will like the Pirouette pattern, as it has a similar style to Classic Black and a few other patterns that were made years ago.  It's simple, which is nice, but doesn't have a whole lot of zest.

The Carnaby pattern is one that I definitely think will be a big hit and the most popular of these 3 patterns coming out in August.  I love the design and the colors, and its warm tones are reminiscent of the fall season, which is the purpose of making a fall pattern to begin with.

The Vera Bradley Bucket Tote on Sale: Who Doesn’t Love This Bag?

The Vera Bradley bucket tote has been a fan favorite ever since it came out and it still gets a lot of buzz where ever it goes.  What I like most about this bag is that it's very useful while still being fashionable to wear around town.  I am hoping the good ole folks at Vera never retire this Bucket Tote because I would like to continue to see it with the new patterns that are always coming out.  For instance, this cute tote looks fantastic in the Bali Blue and Calypso patterns.

And as far as size goes, the Bucket Tote is not too big and not too small.  Being only 13.5" tall and 11" wide, you won't be knocking stuff over when you are at the mall, like you will with some of those huge big mama purses that are out there.  It's a handbag for any ocassion and it's one exterior zipper pocket makes it useful for carrying the belongings you need to access in a hurry.  Maybe some of you like thos new magnetic snaps on the outside pockets, but I like the old school zippers on an exterior pocket.    But there is still the magnetic snap closure to keep the handbag closed, and this is nice because you can just pull it open in a hurry and not worry about it opening on accident.  With 4 interior pockets, you will still have some extra space to organize the stuff you just have to tote around.
