I really wish I could have given out more than one of these wallets and feel bad that we only have one winner, but that's the nature of a contest I guess.

Date Change in the Vera Bradley Purple Punch Giveaway

Well just so many of you have already commented and entered the contest for the Purple Punch Taxi wallet giveaway and I think it would be best to bump the date up a little bit.  I am bumping the date up one week so the contest will end on January 30th at 6pm EST.

I don't think there will be any complaints here as it works out for the benefit of everyone who has entered the contest so far.  We will have a winner sooner and it will give me a chance to set up another Vera Bradley giveaway for next month... hehe.. that's right... another contest.

So what is this about having ANOTHER Vera Bradley Giveaway?

Well I wanted to sort of have this first giveaway as a test to see if there would be much interest in it.  If there is a great turnout for this current VB giveaway I want to be able to do one EVERY month!  Woo hoo, sounds fun hah?  May even do more than that down the road, but at least once a month I want to be able to give away a Vera Bradley item to someone who comes to this website.  How does that sound?  Interested?

I am still in the preliminary stages of these monthly contest and much of the decision is based on how much revenue I can create with the sales from the site, but if sales are high we can keep this going for a long time to come.

Just Got the Purple Punch Libby Purse Today!

So, it's awesome! You just have to see the pictures of this Purple Punch pattern purse I just got from Vera Bradley. It is a Libby purse (one of my favs) and the Purple Punch pattern has definitely just shot itself to the top of my absolute favorite patterns. The inside of the purse (as I will show you in the pics below) has a cool design to compliment the design on the outside.

Yeah, so there it is.  What do you think?  Makes you want one hah?  Yeah, I know the feeling.  Well this pattern just came out this week and it seems like every Vera Bradley fanatic wants this pattern, but since it's so knew there is still a good chance you can be the first on your block to on this design.

Are the Spring 09 Patterns Really Out Today?

Well today is January 12th 2009.  This is the day that we have been told the Vera Bradley patterns would be available for purchase.   So I went out into town today to check out some of the local retail stores to see the new patterns for Spring of 2009, and guess what they told me....   The new patterns should be available in about 2 weeks!


So apparently it really depends on what store you go to.  I am sure some of the Vera Bradley retailers will have the 09 patterns on their shelves but just because they sell Vera bags does not mean you will be able to walk home with the Purple Punch or Hope Garden pattern any time soon.

And just so you know, we will have those new Spring patterns available here on Buythatpurse.com in our store section in just a week or so, so make sure you stay tuned for that because we often can make those new or retired patterns available at much lower prices than you pay in the malls.

Hope Garden Pattern on Ebay Already- breaking news

Well it has been an exciting week for Vera Bradley fans.  They had an award winning float in the Tournament of Roses Parade, in which Hope Garden was debuted for all to see, and the release date for the new Spring patterns for 2009 is very close.  In fact, January 12th is the official date of release of these new patterns, but guess what happened?

Ebay has struck again!    I have discovered a Hope Garden bag available on ebay right now, but this auction will end in a day, so if you are reading this post 2 days after it came out, then you missed it.

How did this person get the purse so early?  Well, according to the seller she won it on a radio station, but the story still sounds fishy to me.. Might just be a jittery Vera Bradley retailer trying to make a quick buck before the official release of the patterns, but either way, it seems the be the real deal, has Vera tags and everything so check it out.

Have You Seen Vera Bradley’s Mediterranean Resort Collection?

Have you seen it?  These cool, arctic patterns are absolutely perfect for winter!

One of the newest collections Vera Bradley has put out is called the "Resort Collection".   Probably earning it's name for ski resorts as these patterns have a snowy white background and royal and deep blue vibrant colors that give it some zing.

The limited edition patterns that make up the Resort Collection are Mediterranean Blue, Mediterranean White, and Mosaic.

The Mosaic pattern is sort of a hybrid pattern between the Mediterranean Blue and White mixed together.  It's a pretty sweet blend but unfortunately this pattern can only be found in VB accessories and not in purses or totes.  But Vera always does things for a reason, as the queen of practicality.  As an accessory the Mosaic blends perfectly with the other two patterns in the Resort Collection and will be a great little pattern to have at your side to show off that snowy white design of the Mediterranean White.

The resort collection was not just make for snow days though.  These patterns are great for snow or sand according to Vera Bradley herself=).  So whether it's the white sands or white snow, your new bag in the resort collection will be suitable.  The idea was to make a pattern that could be worn at any resort, not just a ski slope.  I'm sure even the country club would be a great place to show off your new VB tote.

These patterns are limited edition as I said so they will not be available forever.  Of course, here at Buy That Purse.com we always have those discontinued and retired patterns long after you can't find them anywhere else, but I don't know how many of these patterns will be manufactured.
